If you have ever had or currently have a puppy, then you know they are quite fond of their tails. Sometimes puppies even chase them around in circles like a little tornado. This is normal behavior for young dogs and even older ones. There are a few reasons why dogs like to chase their tails, both good and bad. One reason dogs chase their tails is that they are bored. If they are left alone at home all day, chasing their tail lets them play with themselves. Also, dogs may chase their tails simply because they are playful.
