Through the process of evolution, humans are gradually losing their wisdom teeth. However, evolution takes time and doesn’t happen overnight. Meanwhile, most people are still born with at least one wisdom tooth. Due to the limited space in our smaller jaws, these teeth can cause problems when they start to grow. Common problems include overcrowding in the jaw and infections, which can be extremely painful. When the pain becomes too much to bear, a visit to the dentist becomes unavoidable.
