　　Eating hot dogs at lightning speed is not as easy as you might think. It requires strategy, technique, and practice. Top competitors have their own methods to get the job done. Chestnut and many other eaters often use water to soften their buns so the bread can be swallowed more easily. Others separate the hot dog from the bun before eating them. This strategy helps them chew more efficiently. Contest legend, Takeru Kobayashi, uses the Solomon Method. He breaks each hot dog in half before putting them into his mouth.
